Hello from Coach Buck

I grew up in the small town of South El Monte. I have been a coach in my community for the past 26 years since 1997. I started when I was 17 years old: two weeks after graduating high school, I found myself coaching for the very high school I just left. There is no better feeling in the world than seeing the look on a kid's face when they do something they never thought was possible. I opened up Marathon Batting Cages to help the kids in my community get really good at a game I love. But more so I opened up this facility to show my son and his friends anything in life is possible if you chase your dreams and work harder than you could ever imagine.

In all this time I was trying to teach the children a swing that I had worked on for years with my son: STEP TURN SWING

Coach Mike

A baseball lover since childhood, Mike played from little league to high school to college baseball at Cal Berkeley. He started coaching when his son joined little league a few years ago and hopes to pass down his love for the game. Coach Mike's approach to coaching goes beyond just teaching the fundamentals of the game. His philosophy is rooted in the belief that every player has untapped potential waiting to be unleashed.
